STATUS: Full time, Bargaining Unit, Range 3
First point of contact for Enrollment Department at San Francisco Art Institute. Responsible for daily flow of communications including answering phones and routing calls, responding to e-mails, and greeting visitors. Is responsible for all aspects of the admission campus visit program. Provides administrative support and assistance during admission's campus events and activities. Supervises student workers. Occasional weekend or evening hours maybe required.
Duties:
1. Ensures timely and professional response to inquiries directed to the Office of Admissions. Provides oversight of the flow of communication and correspondence to all inquiries and applications, including but not limited to: in person inquiries, telephone calls, fax, e-mail correspondence, letters, marketing materials and web presence.
2. Organizes and coordinates the admission campus visit program.
3. Supervise student workers including office assistance and tour guides.
4. Develops student office assistant and tour guide positions.
5. Assist in the coordination of recruitment and admission events.
6. Oversee delivery of outgoing and incoming mail and fax for the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Offices.
7. Responsible for reception area including restocking and maintenance of department collateral materials.
8. Provides back-up assistance to Enrollment Managers through timely and professional data entry and related processing of information during peak Admissions processing periods.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
•BA or equivalent degree preferred
•Minimum 2 years of administrative support/office or management experience.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and strong service orientation, coupled with attention to detail and accuracy.
•Outstanding verbal, writing and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and public involved in the recruitment and retention of new students.
•Proficiency in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, databases, electronic communication, the Internet and web based applications.
•Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
•Experience in non-profit and/or higher education work setting preferred
•Demonstrated commitment to the values of access, inclusion and diversity in higher education and the admission process.
