Back to School Meeting

The first day of instruction for SFUSD is August 25, 2008. The August 21 meeting is designed to provide APASF Members with updates and tools for the new school year. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND PLAN TO JOIN US!

The agenda will include:

• Guest Speaker Francisca Sánchez, SFUSD Associate Superintendent of Academics and Professional Development, will give a briefing on the 2008-2012 Strategic Plan adopted by the School Board on May 28, 2008. There will be some time for Q&A.

• Linda Lovelace of After School For All will give a briefing and update on procedures for arts providers to work in the SF Unified District (fingerprints, contracts, etc). If you are a new member this will be very helpful, and established members can hear about any procedural changes. An info packet will be available.

• Antigone Trimis, the Arts Education Master Plan Implementation Manager, Susan Stauter, SFUSD Art Director and Rob Daniels, Visual and Performing Arts Director will give an update on the Arts Education Master Plan 

• Updates and Planning for the Arts Education Resource Fair schedule and location, given by the APASF Executive Committee.

• Announcements on events, etc, by members in attendance
