Education / Operations Coordinator
Hailed as the "best kept secret in San Francisco," by acclaimed conductor Sir Simon Rattle, the Grammy nominated New Century Chamber orchestra is the Bay area's finest chamber orchestra, performing over 16 annual concerts.
Led by incoming Music Director Nadja Salerno Sonnenberg, New Century not only performs works from the standard string and chamber orchestra repertoire, but also commissions important new works, breathes life into rarely heard jewels of the past, performs world premieres, and brings pieces from other genres such as jazz and rock into the chamber orchestra setting. New Century's mission is to bring outstanding chamber orchestra performances to Bay Area communities. We perform in intimate venues with excellent acoustics, great sightlines and welcoming atmospheres in four cities: Berkeley, Palo Alto, San Francisco and San Rafael.
