The Program Manager directs and manages CounterPULSE's Rental Exchange Program and Fiscal Sponsorship Program; conducts weekly bookkeeping and general office operations; and supervises the Theater Manager, Front of House Coordinator and Program Interns.

The Organization: CounterPULSE provides space and resources for emerging artists and cultural innovators, serving as an incubator for the creation of socially relevant, community-based art and culture. CounterPULSE acts as a catalyst for art and action; creating a forum for the open exchange of art and ideas, catalyzing transformation in our communities and our society. Duties: 
RENTAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM (REX):
* Oversee the design, development, and promotion of the REX Program (Theater Rentals)
* Handle communications regarding the REX Program, including availability, scheduling, contracting, deposits, pre-production reminders, and orientations
* Schedule and participate in production and wrap-up meetings for each event
* Maintain overall perspective of rental booking trends including rental requests, availability, and interests


FISCAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM:
* Coordinate communications with members of the Fiscal Sponsorship Program, including monthly emails and answering PR questions from sponsees
* Responsible for contracts, renewals, and processing of forms


FINANCE:
* Maintain accurate financial records for classes, renters, and performances including invoicing, and issuing payments
* Maintain and process fiscal sponsor accounts and issue fiscal sponsor payments
* Collaborate with the Executive Director in the creation of the annual budget and quarterly financial reporting


STAFF / ADMINISTRATIVE:
* Work with the entire staff to create a welcoming home for art and community as well as a communicative and respectful office space
* Coordinate with the Theater Manager to ensure upkeep of theater and facilities, as well as staffing for events
* Inform Front of House Coordinator of all FOH logistics and ensure House Managers and volunteers are recruited for each event
* Manage Program Interns (3 per year)
* Attend weekly staff meetings and provide weekly updates to the Executive Director
* Participate in collectively-shared staff cleaning duties
* Schedule and contract teachers for one weekly class


 

Requirements: 
The Ideal Candidate will posses:
* Excellent communication skills with staff and with a diverse public; reliable access to telephone and email, and the ability to respond promptly
* Experience working with LGBTQ communities, people with disabilities, and emerging artists
* Experience managing both paid and volunteer staff
* Desire and ability to work collaboratively, maintaining a sense of humor and openness to unexpected situations
* Experience with QuickBooks Accounting Software, Microsoft Office, and File Maker Pro
* Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
